Shen Yueyue, Vice-Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and President of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), and Huang Xiaowei, Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and Vice-President and First Member of the Secretariat of the ACWF, extended greetings and best wishes to faculty members ahead of Teachers' Day during a visit to the China Women's University (CWU) and the China National Children's Center (CNCC) on September 9.
Shen stressed implementing the spirit of the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the ceremony marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, promoting the great founding spirit of the Party, fostering virtue through education, cultivating talent for the Party and the country, and making more contributions to nurturing all-round socialist builders and successors.
At CWU's library, Shen learned about the building of the school's resource database of research documents on adapting Marxist Women's Theory to the Chinese context. Shen called for more efforts to enrich documents that reflect the historical achievements of women's cause under the Party's leadership and the historical process of women's development and the protection of women's rights and interests.
Shen also communicated with teachers and students, who have promoted Party history and offered child care services in Zhangxian County and Qingyang City in Northwest China's Gansu Province, about their social practice experience during the summer vacation. Shen encouraged them to mobilize more college graduates and local volunteers to better serve people and families at the grassroots level, gathering more strength to help children grow up happily.

Shen urged teachers to study and understand the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions to educators, and to stay true to their original aspirations of fostering virtue through education and being a good guide for their students.
She hoped that women college students will devote their youth to the cause of the Party and the people, follow the Party's leadership and contribute to the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

While visiting the CNCC's family education center and arts education center, Shen and Huang communicated with teacher representatives to learn more about the building of a guidance service system for parents, and observed a teaching and research activity.
Shen thanked the faculty and staff for their hard work. She pointed out that moral education should be prioritized in science education and the cultivation of children's interests. Efforts should be made to provide parents with practical guidance services and scientific parenting theories and methods, and improve the mechanism of school-family-society cooperation in educating students.

During their trip to the center's parent-child square, kindergarten teachers and children were doing outdoor activities. Noting the importance of designing activities and games in accordance with children's characteristics, Shen urged the teachers to integrate moral education into the activities and help children develop good ideas, conduct and habits.
Shen expressed her hope that the CNCC will play a demonstrative role in cultivating children and guiding families, gain more experience that will be replicable, and lead the construction of family education bases across the country.
